Without a collective rewriting of the values and governance regimes on which our societies are based, we can hypothesize that transitions will remain limited to essentially institutional or academic spheres. In this process, there is no doubt that arts and culture have a role to play, through the creation of new aesthetic and cooperative experiences, and the writing of narratives capable of building new representations of the world.

The challenge is to build a cultural policy capable of supporting territorial transitions. This is the hypothesis of Raphaël Besson’s book “Pour une culture des transitions” published by Éditions du LUCAS. The book combines theoretical contributions and empirical analyses from different case studies.
